To have the exact same praise for a story is enough to make a person vomit. Mr. Holloman's critique was used over and over again or he is someone I wouldn't trust to review my work. The stories by Ms. Ward aren't bad. However they are quite juvenile. They should be posted as such. They are mysteries for a twelve/thirteen year old. Seeing that Ms. Ward is an extremely talented writer it is shameful that someone didn't market her work correctly. If you like to read those paperback juvenile, ridiculous love stories you will like these short stories. However if you want to read adult mysteries pick a novel by Tamara Ward, you won't be disappointed.

This was a quick read -- almost too short, it was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed Jade. The mystery was terrific and the characters loads of fun. I'm really looking forward to reading Storm Surge!
If you like short stories that are easy to read but compelling to finish this is one to read. Good read
It was not as exciting, was kind of boring, but I was glad that she herself solved the case. And story was too short.
I enjoy mysteries and this nice, quick read introduced me to the main character and let me sample the author's writing style. I will probably read more Jade O'Reilly stories by Tamara Ward.
What happened to the Ice Queen, a beautiful vase, which is a family heirloom? The vase mysteriously disappears after a party. Great story to read while waiting for an appointment. Really short but entertaining.
Very nice short story. I wasn't able to guess the who-dunnit which is unusual for me. It was refreshing reading a complete story in very little time. Characters were well-defined.
I liked reading Jade O'Reilly and the Ice Queen but it left too many loose ends for me to give it five stars. Jade's personality was three-dimensional but the book was too short for the other characters to be fleshed-out. The mystery itself was very clever and I did not guess either the mystery or the motive until they were revealed. Jade and Dale's relationship was unclear and I would have liked a definite resolution at the end of the story. The same goes for the triangle between Gregory, Penelope, and Olivia. The story was well-written with good dialogue that was fun to read and the editing was well done. Overall, I found the book to be a light, enjoyable read and I would recommend it to other readers of this genre.
